British Airways will upgrade its daily London-Singapore service to an Airbus A380 in March 2024. This is as a result of the continued demand for travel, post the pandemic. We will see a dramatic boost in capacity from the 299 seated Boeing 777-300ER currently servicing the route, to the 469 seated A380. Business Class seats will almost be doubled, going from 56 to 97 seats. This will allow more business class availability to London and Singapore.
Although the oneworld airline will be increasing capacity, it will come at a cost for those travelling in business class seats. The British Airways 777 has the airline's modern club suites, yet the A380 still offers the Club World seats. The airline is however committed to refurbishing its A380s with not only the new and improved Club Suites, but all new first class suites. Flight schedules currently stand with British Airways departing London Heathrow at 7:30pm to reach Singapore at 4:50pm the following day. The airline departs Singapore at 11:20pm to land back in London at 6:15am one day later.
