Cathay Pacific’s New Business Class Aria Suite Takes Flight From Australia
Australian travellers can now look forward to flying on Cathay Pacific's latest Business Class suite.

After the announcement of an all-new Boeing 777 Cathay Pacific Business Class ‘Aria’ suite in 2023, the airline has finally launched this product in Australia. Its first flight took off late 2024 from Hong Kong to Beijing and now Australian travellers finally have the chance to fly it!

Cathay Pacific is a great option for travellers heading to Europe. Fly to a range of European hubs such as London, Paris and Milan and now experience the new ‘Aria’ suite. How To Fly the Cathay Pacific Business Class Aria Suite From Australia

Tuesday afternoon’s CX100 flight to Hong Kong marked the first of Cathay Pacific’s refurbished three-class Boeing 777-300ERs to take to Australian skies, and the first long-haul route outside of Europe to feature Cathay’s Aria Suite. The CX100 leaves Sydney at 15:15 and arrives in Hong Kong later that evening at 21:30, making it a little over a 9 hour trip.

The upgraded aircraft is currently flying five of the airline’s 28 flights a week on the route; from early April the redesigned cabins will regularly be on daily flight CX162. This flight departs Sydney at 11:05 and arrives in Hong Kong at 17:30 in the evening.

There is no update yet to see whether the new seats will become available on new routes from Melbourne, Brisbane, Cairns, Adelaide and Perth.

What Are the Features of the Aria Suite

The new Aria Business Class Suites are configured in a 1-2-1 angled layout, with 45 suites spread across two cabins. You’ll find a sliding privacy door, wireless device charging capabilities, 4K in-flight entertainment screen with Bluetooth audio and extended wings for enhanced privacy even with the door open.

These extended ‘wings’ are designed to ensure a degree of privacy, no matter if the passenger is working, in do-not-disturb mode or just relaxing. Additional storage will also be offered, with a drawer available under the wide shelf, giving extra storage for personal items. We will finally see the cabin feature gentle curves and woodgrain-like surfaces.
