Earn More Velocity Frequent Flyer Points
A new agreement between Virgin Australia, Hong Kong Airlines and the Hainan Airline Group means there are now plenty of opportunities to earn Velocity Points and Status Credits on travel through Hong Kong and Mainland China.

A new agreement between Virgin Australia, Hong Kong Airlines and the Hainan Airline Group means there are now plenty of opportunities to earn Velocity Points and Status Credits on travel through Hong Kong and Mainland China.

The agreement covers almost all Hong Kong Airlines flights, only excluding flights to/from North America, as well as flights on Hainan Airlines (including Hainan Airlines, Capital Airlines and Tianjin Airlines) to and from Australia, New Zealand and Greater China plus domestic flights within those regions.

Eligible Velocity Frequent Flyer members will also be able to access priority check in and boarding, additional baggage allowances, and airline lounges.

Bonus Points

In other good news for Velocity members, you can soon earn even more points when flying with Delta Airlines. From July 31st Velocity Platinum, Gold, and Silver members will earn bonus points on Delta and DL operated Virgin Australia flights that were previously only available on VA flights.

In addition to the base points, Velocity Frequent Flyer members will earn:

Velocity Silver Members: +50% Bonus Points
Velocity Gold Members: +75% Bonus Points
Velocity Platinum Members: +100% Bonus Points
