While travelling around the world, we visited the Lufthansa Business Class lounge in Budapest before our flight to Munich (read about our recent Lufthansa Business Class flight from Munich to Montreal here). With some time in between flights, we were able to relax and take the opportunity to provide a Lufthansa Business Class Lounge Budapest review.

Located in the Terminal 2A transit area, it is on the ground level of the Budapest International Airport, opposite gate A08. We noticed that the Lufthansa Business Class Lounge doors were quite small and easy to miss in comparison to larger lounges that have more extravagant entrances (read our Lufthansa Business Class Lounge in Munich review here).

Lufthansa Business Class Lounge Munich Food Options

Upon being greeted by friendly staff at the entrance of the Lufthansa Business Class Lounge, you can walk straight into the self service food area. With a selection of cold meats and cheeses, along with the option to make your own salad meat-free with the falafels and dressing options, there was quite a bit of variety. For hot food, there was goulash soup, breaded cauliflower, grilled chicken, and cheese nuggets. Lufthansa Business Class Lounge Budapest also had a few snack options, including a nut selection, various fruits, pretzels, and an assortment of flavoured yoghurts. For those looking for something on the sweeter side, there was a small selection of cupcakes, desserts, and pastries on offer.

Lufthansa Business Class Lounge Munich Beverage Options

To the right of Lufthansa’s Business Class Lounge were the bar and drink options. A variety of self service drinks were available, including spirits and wines on the top of the bar, soft drinks in the bar fridge, and an assortment of juices and some champagne on ice. A machine for cold still and sparkling water was also offered as a self serve or in smaller travel size bottles if preferred. A coffee machine was located next to this which we were happy to see after our flight, providing all regular drink options.

The dining and sit down areas were straight ahead from the entrance of the Lufthansa Business Class Lounge. A variety of seats, tables, and lounge chairs were distributed around the lounge, which was not packed despite being rather modest in size overall. There were a few comfy alternatives available, but if you needed a spot to work, there was a lack of practicality, with lower tables being the only place to lay your laptop. We would like to see the inclusion of some smaller desks so that people can sit with better posture and be more comfortable while working.

Overall, for a smaller Lufthansa Business Class Lounge, we found it to be a pleasant place to unwind prior to our flight in Munich. We appreciated the variety of food and beverage options, but would love to see some more desks for suitable workspaces. Although we understand it is difficult to include everything for a smaller space lounge, especially with Budpest also being a lower-traffic airport, we don’t find it to be a major issue and know a larger lounge is not required.
