We checked in to the new Malaysia Airlines Golden Lounge in Kuala Lumpur ahead of our business class flight to Japan.
The new lounge, which opened only a couple of months ago in March 2018, is located in the Kuala Lumpur Satellite terminal, convenient to access for flights to Australia, and also those connecting to London.
The lounge is quite large with lots of separate areas and zones, and Wi-Fi available throughout. It was relatively quiet when we visited ahead of our late night flight, but there is plenty of room for passengers at peak times.
The lounge has different dining options, a buffet is available for self service, along with onsite chefs who prepare your meals to order, as well as a specialised Laksa Station.
The dining area in front of the noodle bar in the lounge is styled like a traditional Malaysia restaurant, with colourful chairs and tiles.
The bathrooms have also been renovated and while maintaining an elegant and modern look, the decor also pulls from traditional Malay design with colourful feature tiles.
Overall the new Malaysia Airlines Golden Lounge in Kuala Lumpur is well equipped and a great place to relax and refuel ahead of your flight or while in transit.
