Recently we flew from Kuala Lumpur to London with a stopover in Muscat with Oman Air in the amazing 787 Business Class.
The business class seats are set out in a 2-2-2 configuration, with a generous seat width of 22.8 inches. Similar to the Japan Airlines and Korean Air layout, the staggered design of the window seats mean each passenger still has dedicated access to the aisle. Each pair of seats features a retractable privacy screen, which when completely closed creates an almost private suite for those on the window. The seat itself is very comfortable, converting to a completely flat bed with luxurious bedding, including a quilted blanket.
There is ample storage below the footrest for shoes or a small bag, with smaller compartments and pockets located in the armrest. There is also convenient access to 2 USB ports and a power outlet for charging your devices.
Upon arriving at your seat you are greeted by the bedding for your seat, a set of complimentary noise cancelling headphones and an Amouage amenity kit. The amenity kit comes in a luxurious leather pouch an is unisex and filled with everything you would need during the flight including, body lotion, facial moisturiser, lip balm and even a shaving kit and hairbrush. Other items include the usual dental kit, mouthwash, socks, eye mask and ear plugs.
The seat is completed with a 17-inch personal entertainment system, filled with hours of the latest movies and TV shows, all controlled with an intuitive touch screen remote. Making it really easy to switch between entertainment options during the flight.
As always the dining experience onboard Oman Air was exquisite. From starting with the traditional dates and a welcome drink after boarding to the range of dishes all served on elegant dinnerware and accompanied by a good selection of drinks including Cocktails and Laurent-Perrier Champagne.
Dining service started with an amazing Mezze tasting plate that was huge and filled with a section of bread, a range of cold and hot dishes. On both flights between Kuala Lumpur and Muscat, and Muscat to London we were treated to a huge range of dishes including a main course, dessert and a cheese plate, that was on par with what would be served by other leading airlines in the area, each dish was presented perfectly and tasted delicious.
Overall the experience in Oman Business Class was surprisingly luxurious for the price point. Find out more about the Oman Air Business Class seat, and view our latest airfare deal here.
