Qantas First Class Lounge Melbourne
We checked in to the Qantas First Class Lounge in Melbourne before boarding our flight to the USA. Whilst the entrance is less grand than the the Sydney Qantas First Class Lounge, the lounge was as welcoming and comfortable as you'd expect.

Entry to the Qantas First Class Melbourne Lounge is a little less Grand than the Sydney version.

Upon entry to the lounge, i was greeted warmly and presented with the Spa Treatments menu. Without any issue I was booked in for a treatment in 10 minutes time.

The 20 minute back massage started with aromatherapy and ended with a sooting warm towel, an excellent way to prepare for a long haul flight.

There are plenty of different seating areas within the lounge. Upon entering there is a small working area directly to your left, followed by a series of different seating option, the recliners with views overlooking the tarmac were particularly popular.

As we were in the lounge at dinner time ahead of 9:40pm flight to the USA, we opted to have a full dinner in the dinning room. The restaurant has an extensive menu and exceptional service. I chose salt and pepper squid followed by a red duck curry both of which were delicious.

Red duck curry with eggplant, basil and jasmine rice, served with a side of steamed greens.

Although a little on the small side, The Qantas First Class Lounge was an excellent place to refresh and relax ahead of a 14 hour flight. We thoroughly recommend making use of the Spa Treatments available and also enjoying the seasonal dishes created by Neil Perry available in the First Class Lounge Restaurant.

Ready to board the new Qantas Dreamliner from Melbourne to LA.
